What the messages are
Eat Chariot is the online ordering service operated by SCC Events Inc. for Chariot Gathering House in Sacramento, California. Messages come from SCC Events Inc. under the name Eat Chariot. We use text messages for two separate things, and you choose them separately.
Order messages
A one-time code when you sign in, confirmation that we have your order, and a message when it is ready to collect. You receive these because you placed an order.
Typically 2–3 messages per order.
Offers and news
Occasional offers, new items, and news from Chariot Gathering House. Entirely optional — you have to tick a separate box, and never receiving them does not affect your order.
No more than 4 messages per month.
How you opt in
At checkout you enter your mobile number so we can text you about your order. The disclosure below appears directly beneath that field, before the order is placed. Offers are a separate, unticked checkbox — consent to one is never consent to the other.
As it appears at checkout
By providing your mobile number you agree to receive text messages about your order from Eat Chariot, the online ordering service of SCC Events Inc. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance. Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
Placing the order confirms the order messages. The offers checkbox is unticked by default and must be chosen deliberately.
How to stop them
Reply STOP
Text STOP to any message and the offers stop immediately. We send one confirmation and then nothing further.

Text HELP for a reply explaining the programme and how to reach us. You can also email order@eatchariot.com.

Changed your mind? Text START to receive offers again.
Order messages
Stopping offers does not stop messages about an order already placed — you would otherwise not know your food was ready.

Costs and privacy
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply — these are set by your mobile carrier, not by us. We do not charge for text messages.
We never sell, rent, or share your mobile number with anyone for their own marketing. It is used to run your order and, if you asked for them, to send offers. See our privacy notice and terms.
